WHAT'S NEW

Small updates for CommonRoom

Delete your chat messages

You can now delete your own private-chat messages. The message stays in the conversation as a placeholder with the date and time it was deleted.

Easier post browsing

Posts are now split across numbered pages, with page controls above and below the feed. Your filters and sorting stay selected when you move between pages.

Sunday Check-in at the top

The current Sunday Check-in is pinned at the top of the Posts page with a small pin. Its poll starts collapsed so the feed stays easy to scan; use the arrow to expand it.

New profile tags

You can now add vegan or neurodivergent to your profile so people can find shared experiences more easily.

Weekly Sunday Check-in

The public one-question check-in stays open all week, until the next Sunday, so you can answer whenever it suits you.

Every Sunday, a new check-in post appears with four poll questions. It remains open for the same week, and you can answer or change your choices during that time.

Reply directly in chats

You can now reply to a specific private-chat message and edit your own chat messages.

More control over notifications

The bell keeps notifications visible after you open them. New notifications stay until you read them; up to four read notifications remain in the list before the oldest read entries are removed. Use the envelope icon to mark a notification unread again.

New activity markers

Green “New” markers make new posts and replies easier to spot, while notifications stay available after you open them.

Report posts and messages

Small Report buttons are available next to posts and incoming chat messages.

Follow post threads

Follow a post thread to hear when the conversation continues.

Confession posts

Posts now include a Confession category for more personal thoughts.

Edit your replies

You can edit your own replies after posting them.
